Gareis shows speed at Charlotte

On Tuesday June 6th, Charlotte Motor Speedway held the first Bojangles Summer Shootout practice of the year. The Bandolero Outlaws class made a total of five practice runs. Gareis participated in all but one session, due to a dead battery just before the second run. The challenge of the night was to learn as much as possible for the first race, while at the same time not forcing the car to slide on the brand new right side tires that have been placed on the 53 machine. The last two practice runs, Gareis pushed the car a little harder, and after an adjustment to loosen the car up he ran his fastest time of the night at a 18.826, and finished the final practice run second just behind Tommy Good.
